After living in our home for almost 5 years at which I have painfully negated to do anything in relation to design to our bedroom. While 7 months pregnant with my youngest. The urge to finally do something about the space was so strong that I did not talk myself out of it anymore. My updated bedroom was motivated by wanting a space that was serene and comfortable. To come home to after having my youngest.
The first step was to choose a wall color. Our painter told us about Sherwin Williams London fog. It is a blueish-grey color. I like to call it a chameleon color because the color changes in response to the amount of light that comes into the room. With such a dark color I wanted, my furniture choices to be light and airy.
Then came this cream satin tuft bed. I knew it will be a perfect fit for my bedroom. I love the neutral color and how it will work well with any wall color I may decide to try out later in the future. Then came the hunt for a side table. I wanted a little bit of glam, with the decore of the room. Upon finding this mirrored side table on Wayfair. I knew it was the one.
I switched out the knobs and replaced them with these gold and glass knobs. A detail that makes it stand out and increased its glamorous factor. My reading lamps are my newest additions. It is my second favorite piece in my bedroom. The gold details and marble look had me sold. It was the perfect addition to my room.
The mirrors on the side of the bed is such a fun detail. It opens up the room and adds another glamorous touch. I found a similar mirror here. Over our bed i knew i wanted to hang some painting or our pictures over the bed. I went with this modern canvas design. The gold on it ties in perfeclty with the gold on the knobs and lamps.
