Today I will be sharing pictures of my updated Living room It is only Tuesday and I feel like I have been on a never-ending marathon. So much to do and I can’t seem to get time to slow down. I recently got my first opportunity to collaborate with a brand. Which is so exciting and a major milestone on my Blogging journey. It feels so good to be noticed or recognized for doing the things you love. The reason why I started this journey was to connect with others who enjoy home decor, organization, and family life. If you missed the post you can read all about it here.
Updating our living room, was a year-long process. Largely impart to both I and my husband’s indecision. We just could not find a couch we both loved. Our goals were modern, comfortable, and durable to withstand two rambunctious boys.
We had a sectional in the living room, before making this change. One of the main reasons why we wanted to make a change was because we had always felt the old sectional was too big for the room.
Our color choices were grey hues with hints of black and gold. For one important reason our kids, The wall colors are Benjamin Moore London fog. Which helps lighten up the dark colors. The center and end tables are a beautiful set I found on wayfarer. I love how low they are, so I don’t have to worry about the sharp ends hurting the baby. He is already taller than the center table and almost as tall as the end table.
I sourced our pillows from amazon. The patterns on the black and white pillows complement the grey sofa. The pops of yellow help alleviate the darker tone of the couch. Another favorite is this beautiful rug from Boutique rugs. It is even more stunning in person. Hope you have enjoyed reading this post, i am thinking of doing more posts of different rooms in my home as we decorate.
